As part of the amended BBB-EE codes a Mentorship Programme is compulsory for the construction industry and is aimed to obtain points on the Construction Sector Code Scorecard. This program will assist employees to develop to perform certain tasks in the organization.

MDCS Skills Academy offers a mentorship programme that will assist employees to perform certain tasks over a 12 month period in order to upskill themselves in a specific area within the organisation.

The mentorship programme is a valuable tool used to invest in the development of a manager and will lead to performance improvement if applied correctly.

The programme is fully customizable and includes :
  • Establishing mentor champions
  • Developing developmental milestones
  • Developing record keeping documents
  • Compilation of individual developmental plans for mentees
  • Monthly progress reports
  • Evaluation of mentorship process

MDCS Skills Academy provides on-going support in the roll out of the mentoring programme and will assist in compiling all mentoring documentation for verification purposes.


On successful completion of the mentorship programme, mentees can register as candidates at a professional body specific to their expertise.
